Summer 2010 Updates!

Greetings from a long hot summer here in New England! We owe everyone an update, and with the summer comes the summer points cap reset. This will be happening later than usual this year since we're in the middle of tweaking our current rulesbook and redesigning our website. In the end you should see a more artistic and user-friendly web presence for Tales of Valor and a rulebook which is more topical and with some minor tweaks to the game.

Some highlights:
Restructuring of Poison and Disease
A couple of new fighter skills (both basic and advanced)
Inclusion of the Guides and the Ways in the basic rulebook
New Regions: Wastelander and Drakkonar

The New Rules should be availible on August 1st, 2010 and the new website should go active on August 7th, 2010. Keep tuned for more updates!!!

2010 Tales of Valor Season dates!!

Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen!

We've finished booking our 2010 dates and are anticipating one of the best seasons yet for Tales of Valor. In the next two weeks we'll be starting registrations with year and season passes. Individual events will go on sale later this year to ensure that everyone who wants to attend has an opportunity to do so.

Winter Comes

The Fall is winding to and end and the 2009 season is behind us. We here at Tales of Valor hope you all enjoy the winter and look forward to seeing you all come Spring.

Fall Season Updates and Summer points cap Reset

Greetings Everyone!

We have sold out our first game of the season. We are currently accepting players onto the standby list for the event. If you are interesting in being on standby for the event please feel free to email: Torilgrey@gmail.com . I'll add you to the standby list once you've contacted us. As always there are plenty of opportunities to NPC for us and that's free as well!

Points Cap Reset: Will be taking place on the morning of July 25th. Before the Annual ToV summer cookout so feel free to update before coming out. We'll also be posting a donations needed list for the summer very shortly so you can peruse that if you need more points.

Spring 2009

The snows are melting and the Spring is approaching. There are but 7 weeks left until the first event of 2009 and spots are quickly being filled.

We hope everyone had a wonderful off season and hope to see you all at this years events.

Please make sure to register early in order to reserve yourself a spot before they are all filled and get your BGS in if you have not already.

Event Dates!

EVENT DATES HAVE CHANGED!!!!!!

After a slight delay we have our dates for the '09 Season!

The dates are as follows:

May 8-10
June 5-7

Spetember 4-6
October 9-11

Registration for the events will be up in the next day or two!

Fall is approaching

The summer is winding on and Fall is approaching. With Fall comes the resumption of event season and our 2 Fall events.

The dates for our Fall events are as follows.

Sept 5th-7th and October 3rd-5th 2008

Registration can be accomplished via the website once you log in and is handled via PayPal.

Hope to see you at the events. The Spring events sold out so please register early to assure yourself a spot.

Spring is Here

Our first Spring event went well despite the best efforts of Mother Nature. The next spring event is fast approaching and registration is almost full so be sure to register while you can.

In recent news the Pirate Isles and Freilan packets have been completed and uploaded to the download section for your reading enjoyment.

Website, 2008 Season and Rules Updates

So 2008 is progressing and we have some news for people.

Website
The Website is progressing, even though it may seem like it isn't changing much. We are currently working on debugging the character database to make it ready for this years events. We are also working on some performance issues that seem to have crept up with the site migration. The last item that will be worked on is the gallery simply because it is a seperate piece that needs to be instaled and integrated and we are looking at gallery programs with some more options than the one we used to use. Fear not, however, the photos are all saved and something will be up by the first event.

2008 Season
Registration is open for both Spring events May 2-4 and May 23-25 and you can also purchase a full year event pass via Paypal buttons in the left margin of the site. Events do fill up so please register early. As always the lovely Renata will be cooking up mouth watering meals for everyone and we encourage people to participate in the meal plan. Believe me when I say you get what you pay for. The meal plan coveres 3 full meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. Arrangements can be made, within reason, to accomodate food restrictions such as allergies.

Rules Updates
The process of reviewing and updating the rules book is almost done. There are some skills and spells that have changed but overall the rules of the game remain the same. A new version of the rulesbook will be available in the next few weeks via our downloads section.

New Website

We are in the final stages of migrating the website to a new webhost and incorporating upgrades to the site architecture itself. This move will enable us to provide you with a character database that is seamlessly integrated with your existing site login.

In the next couple of weeks we will be bringing that database online and also finalizing our sitework.

If you notice something not working correctly with the site, please let us know via the forums.
